The Story

In 2023, conditions aligned for a vintage of great natural complexity, high integrity, and an ability to deliver pleasure in both the near and long term.

Magnificently multidimensional, finely wrought, and swirling with detail, the 2023 is an ideal version of La Côte. The vibrant riot of red fruit is there, topped with herbal and floral high notes and supported by earthy, mineral bass tones. Tannins are finely woven and lacy, rife with flavor. Even at a young age the wine glistens, though evident is also its reserve of coiled strength to power a long and rich evolution. 

In short, all this beautiful, romantic complexity is a good head on the shoulders of a strong body—the wine is impressive today (if given some air), but will evolve majestically.

Organic. 100% whole cluster, fermented with indigenous yeast in open concrete tank. Pressed after 12 days, then aged in 60% new Ermitage barrels for 9 months.
